A word from the president

The Recreation Club is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1950, and which counts almost 3500 employees among its members.

The Club is administered by a council of volunteers, and its administrators are elected by Club members at the annual general assembly. The Club organizes athletic, social and cultural activities which appeal to members and their families. More than 65 activities are organized by the Club each year, including: the childrens’ Christmas party, golf tournaments,curling tournaments, fishing tournaments, sugar shanty outings, ice fishing, ski evenings and weekends, wine and cheese evenings, the Christmas Ball and painting classes.
Other activities managed by volunteers and subsidized by the Club include golf, hockey, soccer, ski, archery, painting and cardio kickboxing. All employees of Pratt and Whitney Canada and all contractors possessing a permanent badge are eligible for membership in the club. Club fees amount to $2.05 per week (see articles 3 and 4 of the Club Charter).

Reduced price tickets are also available for: the Auto Show, National Home Show, plays, Alouettes and Canadien games, motocross, La Ronde, Parc Safari, Canada’s Wonderland, etc. Notices for special events are posted on the Club billboards,and on this very Web site.

The Aero Boutique, operated by the Recreation Club, is responsible for the sale of all event tickets at Plant 1. Promotional articles, loto tickets and various items are also available for sale.
Members can even make use of an archery field at Plant 5.
